MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT GUNNEDAH
MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BOGGABRI OVERNIGHT SATURDAY
Moderate rainfall has been recorded across the Peel and Namoi River catchments since Wednesday morning. Rainfall has eased since Friday morning, and no significant rainfall is forecast over the next few days.
In the Namoi River catchment, the combined flows from the Mooki River, the Peel River through Carroll Gap, and outflows from Keepit Dam are causing flooding along the Namoi River. Minor flooding is occurring at Gunnedah with river levels peaking just below the moderate flood level during Saturday morning. Minor flooding is possible at Boggabri overnight Saturday into Sunday.
The earlier flood peak has passed downstream of Goangra and is moving towards Walgett on the Barwon River. Minor flooding is occurring at Goangra, with river levels likely to remain above the minor flood level through the weekend.
Namoi River
Minor flooding is occurring at Gunnedah and Goangra and possible at Boggabri.
